Mummies
The best-known mummies are those that have been intentionally embalmed with the exact reason of preservation, mainly those in ancient Egypt. Egyptian civilization believed the body was home in the afterlife to a person's Ka, which without it would be destined to everlasting wandering. In Egypt, the bodies' abdomens were opened and all organs, except for the heart, were removed and preserved in Canonic jars. The brain, thought to be useless, was pulled out through the nose with hooks, then discarded. It was also drained through the nose after being liquefied with the same hooks.
The emptied body was then covered in nation, to speed up the process of dryness and prevent decay. Often finger and toe protectors were placed over the mummies fingers and toes to prevent splintering. They were wrapped with strips of white linen that protected the body from being spoiled. After that, they were wrapped in a sheet of canvas to further protect them. Many sacred charms and amulets were placed in and around the mummy and the wrappings. This was meant to protect the mummy from harm and to give good luck to the Ka of the mummy. In China, preserved corpses have been recovered from underwater cypress coffins packed with medicinal herbs.

Tourism
Tourism is traveling for the most part fun or vacation purposes. According to the World Tourism association, tourists are public who "travel to and stay in places outside their usual location for not more than one repeated year for vacation, business and other purposes not related to the use of an activity compensated from within the place visited". Tourism has happen to a very popular, overall activity. In 2004, there were over 763 million international tourist arrivals. Major physical elements include transportation, lodging, and other components of a hospitality industry.
Tourism is very important for many countries, due to the earnings generated by the spending of supplies and services by tourists, the assessment levied on businesses in the tourism industry, and the opportunity for employment and financial development by working in the industry. For these reasons, NGOs and government agencies may sometimes sponsor a specific area as a tourist intention, and support the development of a tourism industry in that area.

Locks
Locks are advisory locks, where each thread cooperates by acquiring the lock before accessing the equivalent data. Some systems also implement mandatory locks, where attempting unauthorized access to a locked resource will force exclusion in the entity attempting to make the access. In terms of access to the data, no difference is made between shared or exclusive modes. Other schemes provide for a shared mode, where several threads can obtain a shared lock for read-only access to the data. Other modes such as exclusive, intend-to-exclude and intend-to-upgrade are also widely implemented.
Independent of the type of lock chosen above, locks can be confidential by what happens when the lock strategy prevents progress of a thread. Most locking designs block the finishing of the process requesting the lock until it is allowed to access the locked resource. A spin lock is a lock where the thread simply waits until the lock becomes accessible. It is very efficient if threads are only likely to be uncreative for a short period of time, as it avoids the overhead of operating system process re-scheduling. It is wasteful if the padlock is held for a long period of time.

Chemical reaction
A chemical reaction is a progression that results in the interconversion of chemical substances. The substance or substances initially involved in a chemical reaction are called reactants. Chemical reactions are characterized by a chemical change, and they yield one or more products which are, in general, unlike from the reactants. Classically, chemical reactions include changes that strictly involve the motion of electrons in the forming and breaking of chemical bonds, although the general concept of a chemical reaction, in particular the notion of a chemical equation, is applicable to transformation of elementary particles, as well as nuclear reactions. On the classical meaning, therefore, there are only two types of chemical reaction redox reactions and acid-base reaction. The former involve the motion of lone electrons and the latter of an electron pair.
Different chemical reactions are used in combinations in chemical synthesis in order to get a preferred product. In biochemistry, series of chemical reactions aided by enzymes form metabolic pathways, since straight synthesis of a product would be energetically impossible in situation within a cell. Chemical reactions are also divided into organic reactions and non-living reactions
